We (we as in Americans, not we as in my family, cause we eat REALLY healthy) could have saved so much money if we just passed on the super-sized fries. Could have saved us a few bucks a week, and definitely saved us a trip to the doctor to get a lap band.

We need to stop worrying so much about calories. Calorie content tells us nothing about the affect on blood sugar balance. Even though a piece of steak may have more calories by weight than a potato, the potato will elicit a far more powerful effect on blood sugar balance. Blood sugar imbalance and insulin resistance are probably the major contributing factors to obesity diabetes and heart disease. For sure though, processed carbs are generally far worse from this perspective.

i eat dried apricots, they contain, 2 ingredients, the apricots and sulphur dioxide (to preserve color), is the sulpher dioxide bad?
