I started adding orange juice and fruit with the ginger, lemon, and the mint. As for the book, I mostly knew this advice already but I love the recipes!
I just Finished reading the book and I found it had good advice. Don’t be discouraged by by what others think about your progress and don’t take in the negativity. You can always do the 4 day jumpstart in cycles when you feel bloated or as if your taking in water weight. Weight loss is mind over matter and is more of a mind screw than bodily harm. Stick with it and you’ll find your way and success!!! Good Luck! Find a positive support other than these folks that had nothing positive to say.
You have to take MUFAs.. and it did say not to go on without food for 4 hours. Obviously the diet has a lot of “restrictions”. Hello? We’re trying to change our OLD way of eating where every food(the bad stuff) had a green light on it. And with the Sassy Water…yes it does have a lot of flavors but it’s SO good for you. Yeah, it’s not pleasant though.
I wanted to comment on a pet peeve of mine. It’s irresponsible to claim to be “starving” when as Americans, we are from it.
That said, I sincerely wish you luck in your continued weight loss + pursuit of health. More people should take a page from your notebook, stop eating crap + get off their arse for some exercise!

Teresa, I don’t think you understand the operations of food within the body, and what the body requires in order to lose weight.
I don’t believe that you do work out as much as you say…but if you do…I don’t think that you raise your heart rate enough to stimulate your metabolism.
I would suggest that if you have the Flat Belly Diet book. to re-read it…there is alot of excellent info!
Teresa, you seem to be in denial. You say you work out a lot, but it doesn’t look that way – you just started? Don’t kid yourself, you make bad food choices. If you were “starving” you could have snacked on healthy foods, NOT fish and chips and a candy bar! Good luck, anyway.

a nother thing, you said on the forth day you ate a candy bar, your body doesn’t crave candy bar so write down in your journal why you ate that candy bar, where you stressed? try to figure out other ways to relieve that stress like going for a walk or talking to a good friend. Just stay postive and if you fall off the wagon don’t beat yourself up, just get back on it. I am 20 years old and I have lost 112 pds in the last 7 months and one thing I have learned is that you have to stay positive!

And you should keep a journal of what you eat and why you ate the things you ate (espeically if it was something unhealthy).
It takes a long time to go into protein deficiency and “starvation” mode. Grade B Organic Maple Syrup does not cause sugar insulin fluctuations like other sugars. Not all sugars are the same. This woman is overweight anyway.

The diet gives u all the nutrients your body needs. I advise anyone interest to read ‘The Lemon Detox diet’ by Dr K A Beyer. My mum did this diet before me and she has not put on weight since ending the diet. This is because you start to eat slowly after the diet so your body gets used to the food.

Also, who are these people to tell us about what we need as a HUMAN when there are hundreds of internal variations amongst humans around the planet? Different cultures need different amounts of fat/protein/carbs. Also, the woman giving advice in the video is……..well, …….she’s fat.
Before i was 120 kilograms(240lbs) and now im only 69 kilograms(138lbs).. i lost weight for only 6 months.and my secret is only one. i cut abruptly the sweet,fatty foods.I only eat vegetables,fish,match-box size of red meat everyday…if you want to know more about my diet strategy im willing to help you out.The proper of loosing wieght is not to starve yourself.just email me…
What if you eat smaller portions of food and do the lemon detox at the same time… would you loose or gain weight?
Also what if you did the lemon detox diet and had protein powder mixed with skim milk or something to give you the protein you need, will it work better?
Fantastic videos guys…I stumbled upon this vid after a Youtube search. For better or worse, I have already ordered the lemon detox diet; your points are interesting. I will try and incorporate some solid food during the day too.
Well I did it for 30 days and still alive and kicking, I would of gone further had it not been for my mother. Don’t you know this diet took care of all your nutritional needs. That’s why I was never deficient on nutrients. It keeps your electrolites in balance, caloric wise it’s all there. I felt great. I would do it again but too expensive.
